Grace Eastman, 82 years of Southbury Training School, a school for the physically and intellectually disabled died March 29, 2012 in Southbury, Connecticut where she had resided with her brother Charles since 1942. Born in Catasauqua, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anne (Kohler) Eastman.

Grace is survived by her guardians who have known the Eastman family for the last 60 years, Ann Dougherty and her brother Mark Dougherty of Heritage Village in Southbury, CT. and all those dedicated staff who befriended her at the Southbury Training School. She is preceded in death by her brother Charles Eastman.

Graveside services will be officiated by Rev. John Hart of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Catasauqua at 12:00noon Tuesday April 3, 2012 in the Fairview Cemetery off Lehigh Street in West Catasauqua. The Brubaker Funeral Home of Catasauqua is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be given in her name to the church at 4th and Pine Streets Catasauqua, Pa. 18032.
