Clifford R. Gintz

Clifford R. Gintz, 90, of Catasauqua, died Saturday May 5, 2012 at Fellowship Manor in Whitehall. He was the husband of the late Betty A. (Horlacher) Gintz. Born in Catasauqua, he was a son of the late Raymond H. and Louise (Fugerer) Gintz.

Clifford was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Catasauqua where he was a Sunday School teacher. He worked for 45 years as an engineer’s assistant for Mack Truck of Allentown before retiring. Clifford was a scout master, a member of MORA and a former member of the Odd Fellows.

He is survived by a daughter Suzanne Smale of North Catasauqua; a son Phillip Gintz of Bowmanstown; grandchildren Phillip, Jeremy, Stephen and Vanessa; and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday, May 10th, 2012 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 417 Howertown Rd, Catasauqua, 18032. His viewing will be from 7-8:30pm Wednesday May 9th at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua and 10-11am Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made in his name payable to the church.
