Ardyth H. Howells, 79, of Whitehall died peacefully Sunday July 29th, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late John Howells Sr., who died in 2000. Born in Fullerton she was a daughter of the late Paul and Esther (Carr) Hoch.

Ardyth worked at Western Electric and also owned and operated Howells’ Floral and Mall Florist until 1983. Ardyth loved to bake and cook.

She is survived by her sons Paul and wife Sharon of Whitehall, John Jr. and wife Cindy of Whitehall, Tim and wife Debbie of Slatington; grandsons John III, Andrew, Matthew and Scott; granddaughters Kate and Megan.

Funeral services will be held 11am Thursday August 2, 2012 at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, 18032. Her viewing will be from 7-8:30 Wednesday August 1 and 10-11am Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in her name payable to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in care of the funeral home.
