Cecilia J. “Cele” Briggs, 95 years of Catasauqua died in her residence surrounded by her family on Saturday August 11, 2012. She was the wife of the late David L. Briggs. Born in Coplay she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Cecilia (Feirtag) Tameler

Cecilia is survived by her sisters Hilda T. Tameler of Catasauqua, Lorraine C. wife of Norman P. Reitz of Catasauqua, brothers Samuel F. Tameler husband of the late Doris Tameler of Catasauqua and Karl L. husband of Gail Tameler of Colorado. Cele is the aunt of many loving nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews.

Cecilia was a long time member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Church of Catasauqua.

Funeral services will be officiated by Rev. Gary L. Walbert at 11:00am Wednesday August 15 in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church 417 Howertown Road Catasauqua. Her viewing will be 10:00am until 11:00am Wednesday in the church. The Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street Catasauqua, Pa. 18032 is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions in her name payable Lehigh Valley Hospice c/o the funeral home.
