Obituary for Dorothy Benninger
Dorothy Benninger, 87, of Northampton Boro, formally of Catasauqua, passed away July 16 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Leonard T. Benninger and the daughter of the late Rose Gaal Szmodis Mikovsky and Frank Szmodis. Born and raised in Bethlehem, she was a 1947 graduate of Liberty High School. She worked at Western Electric and later retired from Impact Systems, Inc. where she was a client aide. Dorothy was a member of St. Mary's Parish, Catasauqua and active many years as a volunteer and member of their Altar & Rosary Society. She was a current member of SS Simon and Jude Primetime Club. Dorothy was devoted to her family and enjoyed family trips and attending her grandchildren's school events. She loved taking pictures and was the "official" photographer at family gatherings.

Survivors: Son, Mark; daughters Diane Wargo, Dolores Benninger wife of Joseph Billera, Carol, wife of Gustavo Monteverde, and Christine Benninger, wife of John Yonce, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and sister Helen Wasko.

Services: Dorothy's life will be celebrated by a Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, July 20 at 11 AM preceded by a visitation from 10 to 11 AM, St. Mary's Church, 122 Union St., Catasauqua, PA.
