Obituaries
He was employed as an operating engineer for Agere for over 32 years and was also a school bus driver for over 12 years. He was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church, N. Catasauqua.
He was a former Catasauqua Borough council member, a member of the Catasauqua American Legion Post #215 and founder of the Catasauqua Chapter of the American Legion Riders, a volunteer for the Catasauqua Fire Co. for over 50 years, a member of the Southwark Fire Co. Social Club, and a lifetime member of the Fullerton Fire Co. #1 Social Club.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, daughters Alicia wife of Steven Hagenbuch of Allentown and Annette wife of Kenny Funk of Catasauqua, stepson Sean and wife Anne Erney of Northampton, brother Paul and wife Dorothy Holaska of N. Catasauqua, and grandchildren Paige, Gavin and Lila. He was predeceased by a sister Dorothy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00AM Saturday, April 22nd, 2017 at St. John Fisher Catholic Church 1229 3rd St. N. Catasauqua. A viewing will be held 7-8:30PM Friday April 21st and 8:30-9:30AM Saturday at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street Catasauqua, Pa. 18032. Contributions can be made to the Catasauqua American Legion Post #215, 330 2nd St. Catasauqua, PA 18032 .
