Obituary for Eleanor R. Tempest
Eleanor R. Tempest, 96 years, of Catasauqua, passed away Friday April 20th, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Hospice, Muhlenberg. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Tempest. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Belford) Klaugh.
Eleanor was a member of Salem U.C.C. in Catasauqua. She was employed by Sheckler Elementary School in the Catasauqua School District as a custodian for many years before retiring. Prior to that, she was a machine operator at Lehigh Valley Dairy. She loved animals and baking, especially cookies.
Survivors include her sons Thomas P. and his wife Marilyn and Gary D., a daughter Donna Burkit and her partner Bruce Tressler, grandchildren Jason, Brian, Jessica, Matthew and William, great grandchildren Nia, Chloe, Grace, Avery and Nathan, nieces and nephews and her dog Coco. She was predeceased by sisters Verna and Hilda and brothers Elwood and Edward.
Memorial services will be held at 11am Saturday April 28th at Brubaker Funeral Home Inc. 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, PA 18032. There will be a calling period from 10-11am Saturday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Animals in Distress 5075 Limeport Pike Coopersburg, PA 18036 .
