Obituary for Albert John Genevese
Albert John Genevese, 88, of Allentown, passed away at Lehigh Valley Hospital on Sunday October 3, 2021. Albert was married for 62 years to Mildred (Kulp) Genevese. He was the son of the late Adam and Anna (Madeya) Genevese.
Albert attended Northampton Hight School. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Albert loved talking about his experiences and years traveling the world in the Navy. He worked as a baker for many years at various bakeries before retirement. He enjoyed sitting outside, baking, and attending his grandchildren’s school and sporting events. He loved recording videos of these events and holiday gatherings. Albert also loved decorating for the holidays. Albert loved watching the Washington Football Team, Phillies and Navy Football games, especially the Army/Navy game.
Surviving along with his wife Mildred are his children Carol (Genevese) Helman and husband Andy; Kevin Genevese and wife Donna; and Tina (Genevese) Alamarat; 5 grandchildren Amanda Helman, Melissa Helman, Mark Helman, Anthony Genevese and Aaron Genevese; brother John Genevese and wife Sylvia and sister Barbara Batz and husband Barry. He was preceded in death by a sister Virginia Fodor.
Memorial services will be held at 2pm Friday October 8th, 2021 at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, PA 18032. There will be a calling period from 1-2pm Friday at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Allentown. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Catasauqua is entrusted with arrangements.
