Obituaries
Fritz was a proud U.S. Army veteran who honorably served his country. He worked for many years at Bethlehem Steel. He also worked for the United States Postal Service before his retirement. Fritz was a faithful member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Whitehall.
He is survived by sons, John Remer of Coplay, Robert Remer of Saylorsburg; daughter, Jill wife of Timothy Strella of Coplay; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Francis and Joseph Schadl; and three sisters, Josephine Newhard, Anna Rechtor, and Freda Mertz. He was predeceased by brother Edward Schadl and sisters, Rose Cherry and Stella Frassetto.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at St. John the Baptist R.C.C., 3024 S Ruch St, Whitehall, PA 18052. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the mass at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Lehigh Valley Hospice at 2024 Lehigh St., Suite 100, Allentown 18103 or Whitehall Lions Club at 3886 Rosewood Ln, Whitehall, PA 18052. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., Coplay is entrusted with arrangements.
