Obituary for Alfred H. Gogle
Alfred H. Gogle, 91, of Catasauqua, died Sunday May 27, 2012 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice Unit in Allentown. He was the husband of Edith A. (Heckman) Gogle of Catasauqua, and celebrated 66 years of marriage last month. Born in Schoenersville, he was a son of the late Charles J. and Mabel M. (Hess) Gogle. Alfred was a lifelong member of Christ United Church of Christ in Schoenersville. He worked for Mack Trucks as an assembler and in quality control for over 28 years before retiring. Alfred was a WWII Army veteran. Surviving along with his wife are a son Ronald L. Gogle and his wife Anita of Bath; sister Florence Gogle of Catasauqua; brother Sterling Gogle of Catasauqua; and nieces and nephews. Alfred was preceded in death by a sister Dorthea Bilheimer. Memorial services will be held at 11am Thursday, May 31st, 2012 at Christ U.C.C., 5050 Airport Road, Allentown, 18109. There will be a calling period at the church from 10-11am. Memorial contributions may be made in his name, payable to the church. Arrangements by Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Catasauqua.
