Obituary for Alice K. Vandergrift
Alice K. Vandergrift, 90 years, died Friday, August 31st, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was the wife of the late John A. Vandergrift. Born in Catasauqua, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Jeanette (James) Dorwart.
She was a member of the Catasauqua Presbyterian Church. She was employed by the former William Atkin Shirt Co. of Allentown for 17 years. She then worked at Walmart in N. Fort Myers, FL for 10 years.
Surviving are her son Richard and his wife Faye of St. Simons IS, GA, a daughter Gail, wife of Eugene Theodore of Bethlehem, 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Deborah Miller, a granddaughter Tara Miller, 2 brothers and 9 sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday, September 7th, 2018 at Catasauqua Presbyterian Church, 210 Pine St. Catasauqua, PA 18032. There will be a calling period from 10-11am Friday in the church. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street, Catasauqua, PA 18032 is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 968 Postal Rd. #110, Allentown, PA 18109.
