Obituaries
He was self employed in the fur trade and scrap metal business for many years. Al was a lifetime member of the PA Trappers and the National Trappers Association. He was knowledgeable and enjoyed everything connected with the outdoors. He used this knowledge & love to support himself and raise a family. He cherished the freedom this gave him. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
Alois served in the Marines during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Coplay.
Surviving are his sons, Mark "Lefty" and his wife Betsy of Coplay, and Eric of Oregon; daughters, Jill and her husband Kenneth Martin of Florida, Susan and her husband Harold Sell of Whitehall, and Laura Holencik of Coplay; brother Stephen, sisters Sophie and her husband Charles Pradel, and Veronica Robinson; grandchildren Jesse, Adam, Casey, Erica, Kelly, Jamie, Myles, Adrienne, Jacob, Amanda, Quincy and Nyla, and 17 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter Ruth Wuchter, brothers Adam and Joseph, and sisters Mary, Anna, and Aloyzina.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Thursday November 30, 2017 at St. Peter's Catholic Church 4 S. 5th St. Coplay, PA 18037. A viewing will be held from 6:30-8:30pm on Wednesday and 9-10am on Thursday at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., formerly the Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St. Coplay, 18037. Memorial contributions may be made to the Catholic Social Agency, 900 S Woodward St, Allentown, PA 18103.
