Obituary for Alvin S. Hart
Alvin S. Hart, 92 years of Allentown died Friday March 25, 2016 in his home with his wife Mae, family and friends by his side.
Born in Cementon, Pa. he was the son of the late John M. and Susannah (Kovalchik) Hart. He was married to Mae A. (Scheirer) Hart for the last 62 years.
Al was a graduate of Whitehall High School class of 1941, attended the Casey Jones School of Aeronautics and served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He worked for the Reece Corp. for 39 years and retired as a regional manager. He was a member of The First Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua where he was an Elder and served on the Board of Trustees He enjoyed his family, friends, traveling, camping, playing pinochle and life in general. He will be sadly missed.
Surviving with his wife Mae are son Brian Hart and his wife Joann, daughter Diane Wehr and her husband Timothy, grandchildren Rachel Hart, Brainna Hart-Schlappich and her husband Timothy, Steven Wehr and his wife Kristin and Alison Wehr and fiancé Derreck Alcott. He was preceded in death by six sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday March 30 in the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street Catasauqua, Pa. 18032. Call 10:00am until 11:00am Wednesday in the funeral Home.
