Obituary for Amelia R. Schultes
Amelia R. Schultes, 71 years of Northampton formerly of Bethlehem went to our Lord, December 4, 2013 in her residence. She was the wife of the late Donald W. Schultes. Born in Fountain Hill she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Isella (Unangst) Paulus. Amelia was a lifelong member of Zion Stone United Church of Christ in Northampton where she served on the choir and was a Sunday School teacher. After graduating from St. Luke’s School of Nursing she became a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked for over 20 years for Lehigh Valley Hospital and in private practice home health care. Amelia nursed her husband’s mother and her own mother during their illness until their death. She loved her pets and plants. Surviving are sons Brian K. Schultes and his wife Cynthia, Bruce D. Schultes and his wife Dorothea D., brothers Dale Paulus and his wife Sandy, Keith Paulus and his wife Kimberly; sister-in-law Elizabeth Paulus; grandchildren Seth and Hope and nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She is preceded in death by a brother Alton “Buddy” Paulus. Funeral services will be officiated by Rev. Glenn Rice at 11:00am Thursday December 12 in the Zion Stone Church 51 Church Road Northampton, Pa. 18067. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Allentown. Call 10:00am until 11:00am Thursday in the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given in her name payable to the church.
