Obituary for Anna S. Moran
Anna S. Moran 87 years of Grand Residence in Upper St. Clair, Pa. formerly of Catasauqua died Thursday September 1, 2011 in her residence. She was the beloved wife for 65 years of Daniel L. Moran. Born in Catasauqua she was the daughter of the late Paul and Annie (Fetsko) Balik. Anna was a member of St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church of N. Catasauqua and was formerly employed by the Allentown Catholic Diocese. She and her husband Dan had a passion for dancing and Anna enjoyed watching high school, college and pro basketball. She loved her sweets and she loved to shop. Surviving with her husband are her devoted daughter Barbara and her longtime partner Susan Stead, sister Joanne wife of Eugene O’Donnell and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Daniel G. Moran, sisters Monie Skripek, Dorothy Balik, Babe Balik and brother Paul Balik. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00am Tuesday September 6 in St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church N. Catasauqua. Call 7:00pm until 9:00pm Monday September 5 and 9:30am until 10:30am Tuesday in the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street Catasauqua. Memorial contributions may be given to the church.
