Obituary for Anna Sawka
Anna Sawka, 89, of Northampton, passed away March 24, 2014 at Alexandria Manor, Bath. She was married to the late John Sawka. Born in North Whitehall Township, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Theresa (Romanova) Shelak. She was a seamstress for the former Tama Manufacturing Co., Northampton. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Northampton, its choir and its pierogi volunteers. Anna sang in the Millennium Choir. Survivors: Sons, Andrew Sawka and wife Cynthia of Walnutport, Paul Sawka and wife Susan of Northampton; daughter, Rosemarie wife of Kermit Hahn of Northampton; daughter-in-law, Donna Jean Sawka of Endicott, NY; grandchildren, John III, Anthony, Julie, Brian, Heather, Alex, Michael, Shawn, Brittany; great-grandchildren, Haven, Gavin, Mary Grace; sister, Mary Kreglowof Northampton; brother, Joseph Shelak of Pittsburgh. She was predeceased by a son John Sawka, Jr. and siblings, John, Andrew, Katherine, and Helen. Services: Friends and family may call 9-10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 28, 2015, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, PA 18037 followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Interment, St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Northampton. In her memory, contributions to St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, c/o the funeral home.
