Obituaries
Anne Marlene DeRosa, 80 of Catasauqua passed away on March 2, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg. Born in New Castle, PA., she was the daughter of the late John James and Ethel Mae (Koach) Sorcio. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. DeRosa with whom she shared 49 years of marriage prior to his passing in August of 2022.
She was employed in various retail positions in the Lehigh Valley. She was a die-hard Yankees fan and loved Hallmark movies. Anne Marlene was known for her long, decorative nails. She loved playing poker with her family and always played the lottery. She enjoyed monthly dinners with her girlfriends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish Anne Marlene’s memories are her sons; Dean DeRosa and fiancé Niki Czelusta, Joseph DeRosa and wife Jerilyn Covert; two grandsons Dallas and fiancé Caitlin Philipps and Dalton and fiancé Randi Reese; sister; Rosemarie Stragand; her two cats, Lilly and Holly, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Sandy Dishman.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua, PA. 18032 from 11:00 a.m. –1:00 p.m. A funeral service officiated by Brian S. Riedy will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Allentown.
