Obituary for Annie Moyer
Annie Moyer, 87, of Northampton died Sunday January 10, 2010 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg in Bethlehem. Born in Alva, Scotland she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Lizzie (Cooper) Palmer. She was the wife of the late Carson W. Moyer Sr. Annie was a member of Salem U.C.C. in Catasauqua where she was involved in a variety of church programs including their Happy Hour events. She worked for many years as a garment worker in various silk mills in the Lehigh Valley. She also spent many years working as a nanny for the Markunas family. Annie was active in the Catasauqua High Rise Residence Association where she served as president and treasurer. She was a WWII veteran serving in the British Navy. Surviving are her daughters Sandra and her husband Dale Keck of Whitehall, and Sharon and her husband Barry Stopay of Northampton; son Carson W. Jr. and his wife Jean Moyer of Whitehall; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:30am Thursday January 14th, 2010 at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, PA 18032. Calling hours will be held 7-8:30pm Wednesday January 13th and 10:30-11:30am Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her name payable to the Diabetes Association, care of the funeral home.
