Obituary for Arlene Elizabeth Reitz
Arlene Elizabeth Reitz, 94, of the Fellowship Community, joined our Lord on the 1st of September of 2021 at Fellowship Manor. She was the wife of Forrest with whom she celebrated 67 beautiful years of marriage prior to his October 2020 passing. Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Joseph Schlegel and Leona Mae (Smith) Schlegel.
Arlene was a lifetime member of Christ Lutheran Church. She loved crocheting and gardening. Her biggest passion was spending time with her grandsons. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Arlene is survived by daughter, Joan Laudenslager and husband, Gregory; daughter Ann Cherneski and husband Joseph; daughter Diane Phillips and husband Clinton; grandsons Matthew, Spencer, Mitchell; siblings, Edith Mae “Jean” Scheirer, Colin Kelly Schlegel and Karen Lee Dreher. Arlene was predeceased by siblings; Richard, Robert, Ronald, Dennis, and Elaine who died at birth.
A Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 7th at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 1700 Airport Road, Allentown, PA. A visitation will be held from 10:30 - 11:00 AM at the cemetery.
