Obituary for Arnold C Wingrove
On Tuesday November 27th, 2018 Arnold Calvin Wingrove, 94, went to be with his Lord. He was the husband of Pearl (Meyer) Wingrove and celebrated 74 years of marriage this past October. Born in South Williamsport, he was the son of Arnold Carmine and Cora Mae (Snyder) Wingrove.
Arnold spent his working career in the painting business. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing. He was a Veteran of WWII having served bravely in the United States Navy. He survived the Battle of Okinawa in May 3, 1945, while serving on the USS Aaron Ward DM34. Arnold was formerly an active member of Mt. Pocono Methodist Church.
Surviving along with his wife, Pearl, our beloved son Robert Leroy Wingrove (Kathy), granddaughters, Dottie Reeves (Tim), their dear children Autumn, Joey, Bradley and Brandon; Jeannie Muthard (Chris) and their dear son Matthew ; daughter-in-law Helen Wingrove; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved son Paul Edward Wingrove and his brothers and sister.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Berea College Fund, 101 Chestnut St. Berea, KY 40403-9952. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to handle his arrangements.
