Obituary for Barbara A. Gerhard
Barbara A. Gerhard, 87, of Whitehall, passed away on February 15, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest.
Born in North Catasauqua, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Zahradnik) Churetta.
She was the wife of Joseph C. Gerhard with whom she shared 65 years of marriage. Barbara earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from St. Agnes School Of Nursing in 1957. She was a Registered Nurse in the recovery room at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Barbara had many hobbies and passions. She loved sports. She was an avid Phillies and 76’s fan; she loved animals and gave donations to the ASPCA. She loved sunflowers and daisies and enjoyed the beach. She loved reading and baking but above all loved her family most. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving along with her husband Joseph C. Gerhard are, daughter JoLynn Baumer and granddaughter Lauren Fragnito.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
