Obituary for Barbara J. Shindel
Barbara J. Shindel, 73, of Catasauqua, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Richard F. and Erma (Hinkle) Seng.
Barbara was a member of the former St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Catasauqua and a 1966 graduate of Catasauqua High School. She loved spending time with her family and was affectionately known as ‘Mami’. Barbara had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are her children William Giaquinto, Sandra Kowalchik, Chet Saeger and Viki Alfonso; sister Patricia Dolgos, brother Richard Seng, sister Beverly Fies; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
