Obituary for Barry J. Forner
Barry J. Forner, 62, of Slatington passed away on March 27, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospice. Formerly of Catasauqua and Fleetwood, he was the husband of Mary R. Salines with whom he shared 37 years together. He was the son of the late Harold J. Forner and Arlene M. (Ferenchak) Forner.
Barry graduated from Catasauqua High School and Lincoln Technical Institute. He was employed in the electrical / mechanical industry, working most of his career at NCR.
A quiet, gentle man with a ready smile and quick wit. He was a talented stained glass artist and creative woodworker often bringing life to designs conceived by his beloved wife, Mary. Barry lived most of his married life in their dream home nestled in the woods of Fleetwood.
Because of their shared love for dogs, they adopted many rescues over the years. Barry will be greatly missed by Luci and Fred, their current rescues.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Mary; sister Brenda Kuchera and husband Paul ; brother Brian Forner and wife Maggie; mother-in-law Joyce Salines; brother-in-law Leonard Salines and wife Mary; sister-in-law Donna Miller; six nephews and one niece.
No memorial services will be held. Memorial contributions in Barry’s memory may be made to an animal rescue of your choice.
