Obituary for Beatrice E. "Betty" Simmers
Beatrice E. “Betty” Simmers, 97, died Thursday, February 28th, 2013 at her home in North Catasauqua. She was the wife of the late Casper M. Simmers. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Jacob W. and Emma E. (Schoedler) Levers. Betty was a window trimmer for S.S. Kresge before retiring. She was a music and piano teacher, giving lessons at her home and a member of Salem U.C.C. Church in Catasauqua. She is survived by her two sons, Ted M. of Coplay and Barry R. Simmers of Bond, Colorado; 2 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and her caregivers Jane and Rosemary. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday March 6th, 2013 at the Fairview Cemetery in Whitehall.
