Obituary for Benjamin R. Hicks
Benjamin R. Hicks, 81 of Whitehall died Friday January 11, 2013 at the St. Luke’s Hospice House on Black River Road in Bethlehem. He was the husband of Lucille A. (Carrescia) Hicks. Born in West Catasauqua he was the son of the late Benjamin R. and Emma O. (Minnich) Hicks. Before retiring Benjamin worked as a plant superintendent at Ingersoll Rand. He served on a destroyer in the Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ of Fullerton. Surviving with his wife is his son Robert, husband to Michelle (Hartzell) Hicks. Brothers: Dennis and wife Betsy Hicks, William Hicks and Richard and wife Kathy Hicks. Sisters: Patricia Klotz and husband Bernie, Francis Reppert and Katherine Kubinsky and Michael. Three loving grandchildren Alyssa, Jenna & John. He was preceded in death by brothers: Earl, Jeff, Gene, and George and sister Thelma. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Saturday January 19, 2013 in the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street Catasauqua, Pa. 18032. His viewing will be 10:00am until 11:00am Saturday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given in his name payable to the St. Luke’s Hospice or the church care of the funeral home.
