Obituary for Bernard "Ben" J. Pluchinsky
Bernard “Ben” J. Pluchinsky, 79, of North Catasauqua, died May 16, 2007 in Allentown. He was the husband of the late Pauline “Polly” A. (Saas) Pluchinsky. Born in North Coplay, he was the son of the late Andrew and Catherine A. (Sholtz) Pluchinsky. Bernard was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in North Catasauqua. He worked as a manager of State Liquor Stores, before retiring in 1985. Bernard was a WWII army veteran. He was a member of the Northampton Catholic War Vets, the Knights of Columbus, and St. Andrews Jenota. Ben retailed and sold Christmas trees in his back yard with his brothers, family and friends since 1955. Surviving is his son Bernard J., Jr. and his wife Linda Pluchinsky of North Catasauqua. Brothers: Andrew Pluchinsky, Daniel Pluchinsky, and Paul Pluchinsky all of North Catasauqua. Sisters: Agnes Vrana of North Catasauqua and Catherine LeCinque of Allentown. Three grandchildren: Aaron, Adam and Lauren. He was preceded in death by brothers Emil, Michael and John Pluchinsky. Services will be held 10:00 am Monday, May 21, 2007 at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 1229 Third Street, North Catasauqua, PA 18032. Call from 8:30-9:30am at the John H. Brubaker Funeral Home, 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, 18032. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his name to St. Andrews Catholic Church.
