Obituary for Bernard "Ben" P. Ferenchak
Bernard “Ben” P. Ferenchak, 89, of North Catasauqua, passed away on August 13, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest. He was the loving husband of Mary (Majernik) Ferenchak. They would have celebrated 64 years of marriage this September 14th. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late John and Mary M. (Kuchera) Ferenchak.
Ben was a 1950 graduate of Catasauqua High School. He was a proud United States Airforce veteran who honorably served his country. He spent his working years as a tool and die machinist at Everson Electric for 38 before his retirement. Ben loved the outdoors. He was master gardener and was an expert in butterflies. Ben was also an avid hunter and fly fisherman. He was a member of the Historic Catasauqua Preservation Association
In addition to his beloved wife, Mary, he is survived by children, Deborah, wife of Greg “Punchy” Loch of Moore Twp.; Ben Ferenchak and wife, Holly of Catasauqua; and Michele, wife of Anthony Romito of Kutztown; grandchildren, Jason Loch, Chris Loch and companion, Lori, Ben Ferenchak and wife, Helen, Nicholas Ferenchak and wife, Laura, Jimmy Kurtz and wife, Leah, Megan Henry and husband, Vince; great grandchildren, Matthew and step-brother Jacob, Katherine, Vincent, Enzo; and step great-grandchildren, Allison and Anthony. In addition to his parents, Ben was predeceased by nine siblings.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Brubaker Funeral Home, Catasauqua is entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Phoebe Nursing Home or the Historic Catasauqua Preservation Association c/o the funeral home.
