Obituary for Blanche M. Kurtz
Blanche M. Kurtz, 102, formerly of Catasauqua, passed away on December 25, 2021, in Crozet, Virginia. She was the widow of Harold Kurtz who passed away in 1976. Born in Bingen, Pennsylvania, she was 1 of 14 children of the late John and Elsie (Herman) Kemmerer.
Blanche was a sewing supervisor for over 50 years before her retirement. She was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion in Catasauqua and involved in many activities at her church.
She is survived by her children, George Kurtz and wife, Linda, of Charlottesville, Virginia, and Joyce Fehnel and husband, Richard, of Whitehall, Pennsylvania. She is survived by her siblings, Grace Kern and John Kemmerer and by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Preston Kurtz.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Blanche's memory to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 206 E. Main Street, Bath, Pennsylvania 18014.
