Obituary for Butler Williams
Butler Williams 96 years old of Whitehall Pa. formerly of Union Springs, NY died Monday March 15, 2010 in Whitehall Manor, Whitehall, Pa. He was the husband of the late Josephine (Dest) Williams. Born in Fullerton, Pa. he was the son of the late Benjamin C. and Sallie (Stem) Williams. Butler was employed by the Columbian Rope Co. of Auburn, NY. For 35 years before retiring in 1978. He was a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in mechanical engineering, business management and electrical engineering. He was a member of the Auburn Lodge # 124 F.& A.M., the Auburn Industrial Club and the Springport Senior Citizens. Surviving are son Gene V. husband of Charlotte Williams of Columbia City Indiana, grandchildren Lori Shaw, Douglas Williams, Derek Williams, Jason Williams and Sarah Williams, daughter in law Ellen Williams, five great grandchildren and nephews and nieces. Graveside services will be 11:00am Thursday in Fairview Cemetery, Whitehall, Pa. Memorial contributions may be given in his name to the Union Springs Ambulance Fund.
