Obituary for Carl G. Moran
Carl G. Moran, 98 of Country Meadows, formerly of West Catasauqua, died Tuesday September 30, 2008, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Hospice Unit in Allentown. He was the husband of the late Lilliam M. (Fenstermaker) Moran, to whom he was married to for fifty two years before her death in 1987. Born in West Catasauqua, he was a son of the late George J. and Emma (Klingler) Moran. Carl was a long time member of St. Mary’s Church of the Annunciation B.V.M. of Catasauqua. He worked for over 36 years as an assembly line worker for Mack Trucks retiring in 1972. Friends and family will remember him by his “Irish wit”. Surviving are his sons Donald and wife Vivian (Kulhamer) Moran of Medford Oregon; George and his wife Joanne (Balliet) Moran of Delaware; daughter Colleen wife of Terry German of Macungie; grandchildren Patrick, Colleen, Matthew, Beth, Kara, Pamela and Todd and sixteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Paul, sisters Tess Kartje , Regina O’ Donnell, Dorothy Skinner, Ruth Molchan and Marie Hoffman. Funeral Services will be held at 10am on Saturday October 4th, 2008 at St Mary’s church, located on second and Union Streets. Catasauqua, 18032. Call from 9:00-10:00am in the church.
