Obituary for Carol J. Bandle
Carol J. (Drabic)Bandle, 84, of Coplay, passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital – Monroe Campus. She was the loving wife of the late Richard Bandle, Sr. for whom she celebrated 60 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2020. Born in New York on December 10, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Michael Drabic, Jr., and Anna F. (Symenski) Drabic.

She was a 1955 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School and later attended Bethlehem Business College. She went on to do an internship at Eastern Airlines. Carol was a health aide and secretary for the Pennsylvania Department of Health after 20 + years retiring in January of 1998. She was a longtime member of St. Peter’s R. C. Church in Coplay.
Carol loved to travel and did so extensively. She took the opportunity to travel from Venezuela to all of Europe. She loved to cook and bake; she was an incredibly good chef. She even enjoyed hunting, fishing, and loved gardening; she loved her flowers. Carol also enjoyed bingo and casino visits. She and her husband Richard always loved and owned dogs over their years together.

Above all, Carol was dedicated to her family. She loved spending time with her children and two grandsons. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son; Richard Bandle, Jr. and wife, Sharon of Slatington; daughter, Maria Rossi of Northampton; grandsons; Tyler J. Bandle of Slatington and Vincent B. Rossi of Cementon; sister, Joan Peters, sister-in-law, Anne Drabic of Richlandtown, brother-in-law, Albert Bandle and Maria Medina of Miami, Florida; Tom Bandle and wife Barbara of Port St. Lucie, Florida and John Bandle Jr. and wife Sharon of Anchorage, Alaska, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Ralph Drabic Sr.

A memorial mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 2pm at St. Peter’s R.C. Church 4 S. 5th Street, Coplay, PA. 18037. A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. at Brubaker Funereal Home, Inc. 327 Chestnut Street, Coplay, PA. 18037. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project c/o the funeral home. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Coplay is entrusted with arrangements.
