Obituary for Carolyn S. Gavura
Carolyn S. (Novak) Gavura, 63, died Sunday February 15th, 2009 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg. She was the wife of Michael Gavura of Northampton. Born in East Cleveland, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Joe and Sue (Molnar) Novak. Carolyn worked for Brosky Insurance Agency in Catasauqua, before retiring in September of 2007. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church of Bethlehem where she helped on the Hospitality Committee and with the creation of the church cookbook. Surviving with her husband are sons Jeffrey and his wife Rachel Micco of Exton and Jeremy and his wife Emily Micco of Coatesville; brother Don Novak of Akron, OH; grandchildren Jack, Alexander, Nathan and William; many nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Steve Novak. Memorial services will be held at 11am Wednesday, February 18th, 2009 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 2540 Center St. Bethlehem, PA 18017. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church or to your local SPCA. Arrangements by the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. in Catasauqua.
