Obituary for Carrie V. Sinkevitch
Carrie V. Sinkevitch, 96, formerly of Slatington, died Monday January 15, 2007 at her residence at Mosser Nursing Home in Trexlertown. She was the widow of Richard Mack and Joseph Sinkevitch. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of Joseph E. and Lizzie M. (Rosenberger) Kemmerer. Carrie was a member of St. John’s U.C.C. in Slatington. She worked as an elementary school teacher for the Bethlehem school district for 42 years before retiring. Carrie graduated from the West Chester Normal School. She was member of the Brookside Country Club and the Cotillion Dance Club of Allentown. Carrie was an avid ballroom dancer and was known in Allentown for her rose garden. Surviving are nephew Dale Kemmerer of Salisbury Township, niece Linda Kreher of Fairplay, S.C., nephew Brian Kemmerer of Farmington, N.Y., niece Virginia Williams of Walnutport and nephew Charles Ziegenfuss of Martin’s Creek. She was predeceased by 7 brothers and sisters and cousins. Services will be held at 11am Friday, January 19th 2007 at St. John’s U.C.C., 15 S. 2nd Street, Slatington. Call from 10-11am at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her name to the church. Arrangements by the John H. Brubaker Funeral home in Catasauqua.
