Obituary for Charles A. Braxmeier, Jr.
Charles A. Braxmeier, Jr., 85, of Coplay, passed away April 28, 2016 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was married to Loretta M. (Moran) Braxmeier for 63 years. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Charles Sr. and Bertha (Trabell) Braxmeier. A Korean War veteran, he served as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a Manager of Division Services for PP&L, Allentown and a past treasurer of PPL Gold Credit Union. He was a member of St. Peter R.C. Church, Coplay and served on its finance committee as well as a volunteer for the school. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Calvary Council, Allentown. Survivors: Wife, children, Charles A. and wife Linda of Phillipsburg, Lori wife of Robert Naydyhor of Bethlehem Twp., Thomas and wife Rita of Bethlehem; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Maryanna Weinhoffer, Margaret Gerlach, Rita Diefenderfer; brother, James. He was predeceased by a daughter, Dr. Judith Page; brothers, Philip and Edward; sister, Bertha Corby. Services: Viewing from 9-10 a.m., Monday, May 2, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., St. Peter R.C.Church, 4 S. Fifth St.,Coplay. Interment, with military honors, St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, Whitehall. Contributions: In lieu of flowers to Allentown Central Catholic High School c/o the funeral home 18037.
