Obituary for Charles H. "Buddy" Pitts
Charles H. “Buddy” Pitts, 89 years, of Whitehall, died Friday June 15th, 2018 at Phoebe Home in Allentown. He was the husband of Earlene A. (Schlicher) Pitts of Whitehall and would have celebrated 66 years of marriage this December. Born in Coplay, he was a son of the late Charles B. and Mae (McCloskey) Pitts.
Buddy was a member of the former Trinity U.C.C. church in Coplay. He worked as a shipping clerk at the former Tarkett for over 40 years before retiring. Buddy was a graduate of Coplay High School, class of 1946 where he enjoyed playing all sports. He was a lifetime member of the Fullerton Fire Co. and enjoyed golfing.
Surviving along with his wife are his sons Scott, Todd and Kelly Pitts all of Whitehall; granddaughters Nicole Landis and Cori Pitts; grandchildren Chloe and Grayson. He was preceded in death by a son Glenn, sisters Shirley Rabenold, Annabelle Trankley, Janet Groller and a brother Jack Pitts.
Graveside services will be held at 11am Saturday June 23rd, 2018 at Coplay Cemetery, 9th and Oak Streets, Coplay, PA 18037. There will be a calling period from 10:30-11am at the cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in his name payable to the Phoebe Home, 1925 W. Turner St. Allentown, PA 18104.
