Obituary for Charles H. Savitz
Charles H. Savitz, 93, of Allentown, formerly of Hanover Township, died Thursday, March 23, 2006 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. Born in Catasauqua, he was the son of the late Robert A. and Mary (Shellheimer) Savitz. He was the husband of Pearl A. (Bender) and they celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary in July of 2005. Charles was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Schoenersville where he was active during the 40’s and 50’s and also a former president of the church board. He was employed by the former Grammes Implement Dealer of Orefield and previously managed and operated the former Bender Farms of Hanover Township. Charles was also a past member and president of the Catasauqua Rotary Club. Surviving with his wife are: Sons: Robert C. and Mary A. of Weaversville William B. and Nadine of Lehigh Township Niece: Ruth Koch 3 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Grandchildren. He is predeceased by a sister Catherine Koch, granddaughter Suzette Kropf and grandson Danny Andreoli Services will be held 11am Monday March 27, 2006 at the Christ Lutheran Church, 2354 Grove Rd Schoenersville, PA. Call from 10-11am at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the church. Arrangements by the John H. Brubaker Funeral Home in Catasauqua.
