Obituary for Christine L. "Teenie" Krause
Christine L. “Teenie” Krause, 85, formerly of Catasauqua died Friday October 9, 2009 in Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. She was the widow of the late Samuel M. Krause Jr. Born in Hokendauqua she was the daughter of the late William R. and Tansey L. (Scheirer) Tait. Christine was a long time member of the Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua. She had worked in various silk mills in the Lehigh Valley and retired from the former Penn Linen of Allentown in 1986. Christine was a member of the St. Andrew’s Young at Heart Group of N.Catasauqua and the Catasauqua American Legion where she enjoyed bowling in two leagues. Surviving are daughters Jayne Stevens of Coplay, Lois wife of William Jodry of Catasauqua, son Thom Krause of Catasauqua and brother Larry husband of Becky Tait of Northampton. Christine has seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brother William Tait and sister Mary Lynn. Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday October 14, 2009 in the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street Catasauqua. Call 9:30 -11:00am Wednesday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her name to Holy Family Manor, who provided outstanding care and service, located at 1200 Spring St., Bethlehem, 18018.
