Obituary for Clyde E. Buchman Jr.
Clyde E. Buchman Jr., 86 years, of Macungie, died Friday December 21, 2012 at Lehigh Valley Hospice in Allentown. He was the husband of Grace L. (Hopkins) Buchman of Macungie. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Clyde E. Sr. and Sarah (Leiser) Buchman. Clyde was a long time member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Allentown where he served on the Asbury Building Committee when the church was built on Springhouse Road. Clyde worked for 43 years for Ingersol Rand in Allentown, first as a machinist and retiring from the office and supply department. Most recently he worked for Lighting Fixture and Supply in Allentown for 11 years. Clyde served in the Navy during WWII. Surviving along with his wife are daughters Barbara Reighard and husband Robert of Fogelsville, Dianne Maguire and husband Owen; son William Buchman and wife Linda; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 3 nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Ralph. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Friday December 28th, 2012 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown, 18104. There will be a calling period Friday at the church from 1-2pm. Memorial contributions may be made in his name payable to the church c/o of the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, PA 18032.
