Obituary for Cynthia A. Malast
Cynthia A. Malast, 62, of Coplay, passed away on January 3, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest. She was the beloved wife of Richard E. Malast of Coplay with whom she celebrated 40 years of marriage this past November. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late William Owen, II and Shirley (Mackes) Loy.
Cindy was a graduate of William Allen High School. She enjoyed staying home raising her children and helping at the family restaurant, Samuel Owens in Coplay. She and her husband, Richard, proudly owned and operated their own business from 1978-2007. The name of the business was Auto, Truck, Van & R.V. Accessories, also known as A.T.V.R.V. located on Rt. 329 in Whitehall (Cementon).
In addition to her husband, Richard, she is survived by a daughter, Cheyanne Malast of Coplay; siblings, Richard Loy of Slatington, Michael Loy of Slatington, William Loy, III of Coplay, and Debbie Abbott-Loy of Bangor; granddaughter, Norah Kern; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Jesse William Malast who passed away May 1st, 2003.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made in Cindy’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation at 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
