Obituaries
David B. Piper formerly of West Catasauqua, died peacefully with his family by his side, Saturday, December 23, 2023 at his home in Coplay. He was the husband of the late Barbara A. (Hill) Piper who passed in 2001. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Blair F. and Hilda M. (Haines) Piper.
David was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Catasauqua. He was the owner and operator of B & D Fuel Oil Company which he and his wife ran together for many years. Later he worked as a delivery driver for Yeager Fuel. David loved cars and owned a variety of models over the years. Most recently he owned a 2003 50th Anniversary Corvette. He loved going to car shows and driving in cruises.
Above all he loved his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by many.
Surviving is his son Michael A. Piper, daughter Lu Ann Stanton and husband Stuart; grandchildren Brittany and Matthew Stanton; Bridget Lattea, Amanda and Michael Piper Jr.; sister-in-law Karen DeFeo and husband William; niece Jennifer Watson; nephew Eric Klusaritz and Goddaughter Lucinda Bierman and family. He was preceded in death by his sister Joanne.
