Obituary for David L. Schlener
David L. Schlener, 82 years, of Allentown, died Sunday February 17th, 2019 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was the husband of the late Emma L. (Sperlbaum) Schlener. Born in Springtown, he was the son of the late Robert and Daisy (Baron) Schlener.
A graduate of Pen Argyl High School and Churchman’s Business School, David was employed in sales in the fastener division at Bethlehem Steel for 31 years before retiring. He was a member of St Paul’s Catholic Church in Allentown.
David was an avid Eagles and Penn State fan. He was an amazing person who was loved by many and will be missed.
Survivors include sons David L. Jr., Randal S. and his wife Machelle, and Roger W. and his wife Allison, daughters Christine, wife of Sami Azar and Carolyn, wife of Shannon Blust, brother Dennis and his wife Bonnie, sister Janet Moyer, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother Robert Jr. and a sister Marion Lieberman.
Funeral services will be private.
