Obituary for David W. Skeath II
David W. Skeath II, 51, of Lake Villa, IL, formerly of Allentown, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Allentown on January 31, 1964, he was the son of David and Jo-An(Klucharich)Skeath, settling in Lake Villa in 2007. David proudly served as a Captain in the U.S. Army. David received his BA from Lehigh University and his Master's Degree in finance from St. Joseph's University, Philadelphia. He had worked for 22 years as a Finance Manager for Allstate, and for the last four years as a Budgeting Manager for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois. He was a member of Hope Community Church in Lake Villa and enjoyed golfing, watching football, and collecting coins. Survivors: His wife of 29 years, Linda; his mother, Jo-An Skeath of Orefield; two siblings, Tim(Cathie)Skeath of Emmaus, Karen(Greg) Kemper of Orefield; two step-children, Michael(Christina)Jacobs of Whitehall, Anthony Jacobs of Allentown; nieces and nephews, Alyssa and Sarah Skeath, Gregory Jr., Alex, Eric and Jacob Kemper. David was preceded in death by his father, David. Services: Friends and family may call 4-7 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2015 with a service at 7:00 p.m. and further calling hours from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, PA 18037. Graveside services with military honors to follow Saturday at St. Peter's Cemetery, 9th and Hokendauqua Sts., Whitehall, PA 18052.
