Deborah “Debbie” Ann Rutz, 68, of Coplay passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospice in Allentown.
Born in Bethlehem, she was the only child of the late Joseph and Dolores (Mutarelli) Kaintz. She was the devoted wife of Timothy J. Rutz, with whom she shared 37 years of marriage on May 13th.
Debbie was a graduate of Whitehall High School. She was a head cashier for the former Strawbridge and Clothier. She was employed at The Growing Tree in Hokendauqua for 25 years, teaching children and showering them with love and wisdom.
Debbie was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Coplay.
An only child by birth, she built a legacy of motherhood that went far beyond her own family tree. She loved children fiercely, dedicating her life to teaching, guiding, and loving the little ones in her community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish fond memories include her husband Tim, daughter Kelly Ann Rutz and companion Chad Stine and grandson Landon Anthony Rutz-Stine.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
