Obituaries
Delores Mae Camody, 81, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Serafino “Nick” Camody with whom she shared 62 years of marriage before his passing in January of this year. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Matthew A. and Mildred M. (Kessler) Evans.
Delores worked in the cafeteria of the Whitehall/Coplay school district for many years before her retirement. She loved cooking and was always in the kitchen making meals for her family. Delores also loved canning, crafting, and gardening. Above all, Delores adored her family. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and caring grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Sherrie L. Heffernan and husband David of Whitehall, Delores M. Zadzora of Slatington, Stacey M. Millen and husband Hugh of Whitehall, Danielle A. Snyder and husband Brian of Whitehall; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Matthew Evans of Virginia.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Mildred Adams.
A viewing will be held from 10-11 AM on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Brubaker Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, PA 18037. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Coplay Cemetery, Oak St., Coplay, PA 18037. Memorial contributions may be made to The Children’s Home of Easton, 2000 S 25th St, Easton, PA 18042.
