Obituary for Diane Gale Schaarschmidt
Diane Gale Schaarschmidt, 52 years of Northampton formerly of Washington, NJ died Friday March 9, 2012 in St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem. She was married 31 years September 2011 to her husband William C. Schaarschmidt. Born in Easton she was the daughter of Mace (Ludwig) Baldwin of Hazelton and the late Alfred Baldwin. Diane worked in the restaurant industry as a banquet manager for a variety of establishments in the Lehigh Valley area most recently employed at the Stroudsmoor Country Inn in Stroudsburg. Pa. She was an avid NJ Devils Hockey fan and loved organizing family parties. Surviving with her husband and mother are sons Michael husband of Anna of Poznan, Poland, Daniel of Pittsburgh, daughter Victoria of Northampton, brothers Lee, Gary, Dale, David, Roger Baldwin, sister Nancy Matyas and grandsons Daniel and Adam. Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday March 14 in the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street Catasauqua. Calling hours will be 7:00pm until 9:00pm Tuesday and 10:00am until 11:00am Wednesday in the funeral home.
