Obituary for Diane Marie Jandrasits
Diane Marie Jandrasits, 78, of Coplay, passed away on November 12, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospice. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Walter F. Tapler and Rose (Kail) Tapler.
She was the wife of the late John E. Jandrasits with whom she shared 15 years of marriage prior to his passing in October of 1992.
Diane graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1963. She went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in education in 1967 from St. Francis University in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She received her master’s degree from Kutztown University. She was an elementary and middle school teacher for the Whitehall-Coplay School District, retiring in 2002.
Diane was a longtime member and volunteer at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church. She was on the Board of Associates at Lehigh Valley Hospital. She received the Melvin Jones Award from the Coplay Lions Club and belonged to St. Mary’s Senior Group.
Diane was known for her globetrotting. She loved to travel but above all she loved her family most. Her home was always warm and inviting and she loved cooking for her family. She will be loved and missed by all who knew and loved her.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jessica M. Pietroniro and her husband Anthony, granddaughters, Samantha and Madison Pietroniro and cousin, Robert Duld. She was predeceased by her brother Anthony Tapler.
There will be a calling period on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 09:30-10:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s R.C. Church on 4 South 5th Street, Coplay, PA 18037 with a mass of Christian burial to follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
