Obituary for Dolores N. Decker
Dolores N. Decker, 87 years of Catasauqua died January 10, 2017 in Allentown. She was the wife of the late Erwin L. “Reds” Decker. Born in Shamokin, Pa. she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Yodzio) Novich.
Dolores was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, a member of the Cotillion Club of Allentown, the Allentown Symphony Guild and a former member of St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church of North Catasauqua. She loved reading, cooking, dancing, gardening and playing cards, was a member of the Library Board and the Friends of the Library and a member of the Catasauqua Garden Club. When her daughters were young, she was always very active volunteering in all their activities. Dolores enjoyed traveling with her husband to different parts of the world. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are her daughters Barbara Decker of Orefield, Pa., Maryann wife of Roger Muschlitz of Danielsville, Pa. and Margaret Decker of West Chester, Pa.; grandchildren Evan and Eric Decker, Blaine, Lauren and Allison Brophy.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00am Tuesday January 17, 2017 in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church 618 Fullerton Avenue Whitehall, Pa. 18052. There will be a calling period from 9:00 am until 10:00 am Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be given to the Catasauqua Library, 302 Bridge Street, Catasauqua, Pa. 18032.
