Obituary for Dorothy A. Kuntz
It is with great sadness we announce that our loving mother and cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, Dorothy A Kuntz, passed away peacefully in the memory care wing at Woodbridge Place on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, due to the ravages of Parkinson’s disease.
Born to parents Jacob and Ester Mauger, Dorothy was a talented and creative artist and loved sign painting and oil painting when she was younger, creating floral arrangements, money cards, and anything artistic. She loved to travel and enjoyed many cruises, trips to Florida, a European tour, trips to casinos, spending time in the Pocono mountains, etc. over her lifetime. Anytime she was asked to go anywhere with anyone, her bags were packed almost immediately! She definitely went overboard at Christmas and loved hosting Christmas parties for her entire family through the years, leaving us with cherished memories of wonderful times spent together.
While her primary vocation was housewife and mother, she briefly worked at Allentown State Hospital, as well as having several small businesses. She loved wearing white, animal prints, and anything with “bling”! She also loved telling dirty jokes and poems to people, no matter how inappropriate they were! She loved her sweets, chocolate milk, ice cream, and her face always lit up with a huge smile when we took her chocolate milkshakes to enjoy!! She was a fun-loving, caring, understanding, generous and trusting soul who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Dorothy leaves behind her very heartbroken family: Children Stephen Csanadi, Dawn & husband John Vandegrift, Ron & wife Gina Csanadi, Debra Kaczmar, Chris Kressley, and Curt Kressley and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband Richard Kuntz, brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Rosemarie Mauger, sister and brother-in-law Joye and Bill Thomas, sister and brother-in-law, Dolores and Ray Stauffer and grandson, Jarrett Csanadi.
Family and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday, November 12, 2021, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Brubaker Funeral Home, 234 Walnut St, Catasauqua, PA. 18032. Interment will be immediately following service at Grandview Cemetery at 2735 Walbert Ave, Allentown, PA. Donations may be made in Dorothy’s memory to Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. The Michael J. Fox Foundation P.O. Box 5014 Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.
Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Catasauqua is entrusted with arrangements.
