Obituary for Dorothy F. Seier
Dorothy F. Seier, 88 years of Allentown formerly of Dagsboro, DE. died Sunday May 8, 2011 in her residence. Born in St. Claire, Pa. she was the daughter of the late Peter and Julia (Kimak) Stednitz. She had worked as a seamstress for various sewing and textile manufacturing companies in the Lehigh Valley area. Dorothy was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church of Allentown. While living in Delaware she was a member of the Foster Grandparents Program helping children for over 20 years. Surviving are sons Leo P. Seier of Lenhartsville, John Seier of Garrison, NY, daughter Dorothea Daubert of New Tripoli, eight grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her brother John Stednitz and her sisters Marie Preisler and Julia Bishop. Calling hours will be 4-7pm, Friday May 13th in the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, 18032, followed by the funeral service starting at 7pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery, Dagsboro, DE at noon on Saturday May 14th.
