Obituaries
Dorothy M. Sagat, 90, of Whitehall, and formally of Catasauqua, died on Tuesday, July 9th in Fellowship Manor – Hospice Care, Whitehall. Born in Hokendauqua, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Chrvala) Sagat.
Dorothy was employed by PP&L for 40+ years, beginning as a secretarial student attending Whitehall High School in the morning and then spending the afternoon in the steno/typing pool and PP&L. She also worked at Junior Colony and the Nut Hut in Allentown part-time for many years.
After retirement, she became an avid New York Yankees fan; golfer; movie buff and master crossword puzzle solver. She truly enjoyed bus trips to Longwood Gardens and casinos.
She is survived by her sister Mary Corrado of Whitehall and many cousins.
There will be a calling period on Monday, July 15, 2024, from 10-11 a.m. in the vestibule of St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 1229 3rd St., N. Catasauqua, PA. 18032. A mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow mass at St. Andrew’s Cemetery in N. Catasauqua.
